Advisory Board

The Reinert Center was founded by a group of faculty in 1997; that group became the Center’s first advisory board, carrying out all of the activities of the Center. Since that time, the Center’s staff has grown and taken on more of the work of the Center so that at the present time, fewer than five percent of the Center’s activities are undertaken by board members.

Those activities that continue to fall to board members are absolutely essential components of the Center’s work and values: choosing the recipient of the James Korn Award; sharing expertise and wisdom; providing insight into faculty needs and perspectives; participating in ad hoc committees, special projects, and events; and informing colleagues about the Center’s services and programs.
